(ShipGaz) – The Norwegian government has established a new position at the Norwegian embassy in Washington, which will be partly financed by the Norwegian Shipowners’ association. The new position has the title of trade and industry counsellor and the person will be tasked with bringing together Norwegian companies, including companies in the maritime industry, and American companies.
“The US is one of our most important markets for shipping. The US is also a central player in the development of international shipping policy. Consequently, the new position will be specifically focused on further developing relations between US maritime authorities and the Norwegian shipping industry”, says Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske in a comment.
