This Friday, the Russian marine announced that it is going fight the pirate attacks near the waters of Somalia.
The Russian warship Ne-oestrasjimy (the Fearless) is on its way to the water of Somalia. This Friday a ship from the Ukraine has been overpowered by pirates. On the ship is Russian crew that needs to be saved according the marine spokesman.
The hijacked ship has 30 tanks onboard meant for the Kenyan army. The tanks are from the Soviet Union period. The Somalia waters are one of the most dangerous waters in the world in reference to pirates and hijacking. This year many ships were hijacked by the pirates who are asking big sums of money. In most cases they succeed.
